Key terms

In my manifesto I want to have a section outlining key words and terms that relate to my issue.

Consent- To give permission for something to happen. A clear agreement to be involved in something.

Sex- any sexual activity depending on the persons sexual preferences, including specifically sexual intercourse.

Rape-Rape is a form of sexual assault which usually involves sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person’s consent

Marital Rape- Marital rape (or spousal rape) is the act of sexual intercourse with one’s spouse without consent. It is a form of domestic violence and sexual abuse

Rape culture- a society or environment whose prevailing social attitudes have the effect of normalizing or trivializing sexual assault and abuse.

Date Rape -Date rape is a form of acquaintance rape. Date rape specifically refers to a rape in which there has been some sort of romantic or potentially sexual relationship between the two parties.

Victom shaming- Victim shaming occurs when the victim of a crime or any wrongful act is held entirely or partially responsible for the harm that befell them
